I'm very happy with Un-Blue'd

We had our second concert last night. We played for U-Turn for Christ, a Christian drug-rehab in Camino, CA, right outside of Placerville.

What a great time of worship and praise! What a great sounding band! What a great example of excellent musicians and friends getting together to bless people's lives!

First of all, let me just say that I am VERY happy with my new gear. The tone was SICK! The new amp and effects came through with FLYING colors. I didn’t know what I was missing until now.

We played about 12 songs, and had 3 dramas. Everyone did a GREAT job with the dramas. Keith Baldwin knocked my lights out in his role as Keenan in ‘Almost Gone.’ As he walked to the front of the room, he carried with him a quiet power. Like an iceberg, what I was seeing of Keith playing this character was only the slightest bit of his real depth, a shadow of what he showed us as the play progressed.

It was my favorite part of the night. Bravo, brother.

I had a great time with my Christian family. I’m glad I get to call you friends, both those I know well and those I am getting to know. I’m glad we are together in this venture. I look forward to what God does with us in the future. I love being able to talk and laugh and share and love with you guys.

See you soon!

Dale

Dale rocks! The group rocks!

Although, I gotta admit I'm not down with the name. Un-Blue'd just doesn't have that kick-@$$ rock-n-roll feel to it. To anyone who knows anything about guns, it means the finish has worn off the metal of your favorite piece.

I mean, I get where it comes from with the whole McManus/Mosaic connection. But, where would some famous bands be without their name? Would we have bought albums from:

1. Blue Zeppelin?
2. Blue Jovi?
3. Motley Blue?
4. INXBLUE?
5. Bluedy and the Blue Fish?
6. U-Blue?
7. Blue-B-40?
8. Guns-n-Blue Roses?

Heck no! Just imagine a world without Stairway to Heaven or Girls, Girls, Girls!

Why not Jacqui and the Beanstalks? It has a sort of je ne sais quois ring to it.

Or, how about Revelation? (Genesis was already taken...stupid Peter Gabriel!)

Okay, so I suck at picking names. Call it what you want; I'll still buy your first album (yeah, yeah...I know...they call 'em CDs now, but I'm old school).

Laurence,

You are absolutely correct. All those bands would suck with Blue in their name.

That's why we are UN-Blue'd .. NO blue .. ANTI-blue .. SANS blue ..

Now you get it ..

:)

PS. I kind of like the idea of a nasty old reliable well worn gun .. like a well worn guitar, it just works better .. :)

I'm with ya, Dale. Except, unlike a well worn guitar, a gun that's become unblued might develop rust in the barrel and blow up in your face.

I'm just sayin'! No analogy intended!

Let's just say we are raw and unfinished and leave it at that! :>)

Thanks for the kind words Dale.
Really there was not much acting involved. I have played that skit out in real life for real.

Maybe that's why it was so good .. they say actors use "sense memory" in their craft, that they think of things in their real life that applies to their character's life ..

Usually when an actor is actually playing with something he's done before in real life it come across hollow.

Your's didn't.

Loved it!
